Exchange connections

Connect a Binance, Kraken, or Bybit spot account from Exchanges. Provide a name, API key, and API secret, then choose Test & connect. Rebalio checks the credentials and imports balances, markets, prices, and open orders.

Use read permissions for monitoring. Manual and scheduled rebalancing also require spot trading permission. Never enable withdrawal permission. Borrowed assets and margin accounts are not supported. Rebalio only imports spot markets and unleveraged open orders; margin orders and futures are excluded. Bybit unified wallets with borrowing, derivatives collateral, or portfolio margin balances cannot be connected as spot-only accounts. Use a dedicated spot account or subaccount.

Investment types

Your portfolio can include crypto and tokenised stocks and ETFs where they are available through a supported spot trading pair. This gives you more ways to choose exposure to companies and markets alongside your other holdings.

Rebalio uses the spot markets returned by the exchange API. An asset needs an active direct trading pair against your portfolio’s execution currency. Availability depends on the exchange, your region, and your account’s eligibility; a product listed elsewhere in an exchange’s app is not automatically available to Rebalio.

See the exchanges’ product information for Binance tokenised securities, Bybit xStocks, and Kraken tokenised stocks and ETFs. These products provide exposure to underlying investments; holding a token is different from holding shares or ETF units through a traditional broker.

Setting up your account

The account setup wizard takes you through four steps:

1. Connect account: choose the exchange, connection name, reporting currency, and API credentials. Rebalio tests the connection and imports spot holdings.
2. Allocation: review all holdings, include the trading quote, set targets totaling 100%, and choose integer relative drift. Zero means sell what the exchange permits; Ignore leaves holdings untouched. Holdings below $100 are suggested for ignoring during setup.
3. Performance: enter a positive fixed reference amount for the managed holdings and optionally enable dynamic cash with return/cash endpoints. Deposits and withdrawals affect return versus reference.
4. Review: confirm all settings. Setup places no orders; use Run now or enable an optional daily schedule afterward. Progress is saved locally without credentials.

Register an exchange API key once. Each connection supports one portfolio. Credential replacement requires confirmation that the replacement belongs to the same exchange account; failed validation preserves the working credentials.

Exchange access depends on account eligibility and regional availability. If you restrict API keys by IP, obtain Rebalio’s current outbound IP addresses before enabling the restriction so your connection can continue to sync and trade.

Disconnecting cancels Rebalio orders before removing credentials. If cancellation is uncertain, credentials remain available for recovery and the connection stays open until the outcome is confirmed. External orders are left untouched.

After disconnection finishes, Delete account becomes available in Exchanges. Confirming deletion permanently removes that exchange connection and its portfolio, allocation versions, performance settings, value snapshots, run history, orders and trade history, and activity from Rebalio. Other accounts are unaffected. The exchange account itself and its funds are not deleted. Large histories are removed in batches; the account shows Deleting until cleanup completes.
